can't modify properties in linked tables

I'm new to Access. I am trying to create a Lookup. I have linked
tables. When trying to go into the tables and change 'data type' to
Lookup Wizard it won't change because Access states "this property
cannot be modified in linked tables".

Is there a way to accomplish this via linked tables or is there a work
around? Thanks.

You have to go into the database that actually contains the table and make
the change there.
