After running McAfee updates and rebooting, unable to logon to Windows...even in safe mode. After entering pwd for any user, it says "Applying Personal Settings", and then goes back to login screen. Please HELP!!!

After running Repair from the Dell recovery disk we were able to get back onto the system without losing any data.

Hi,

Try booting into Safe Mode Command Prompt [it loads command as the shell, instead of explorer] and inspect the Event Logs. It should give you a clue. If you are unable to boot into SM Command Prompt, try Last Known Good.
