can't login NT4 server to W2K domain

I have a server providing code-base repository services to
a wireless comm. customer. The particular program has to
run on NT4 server with Service Pack 5 (no later).
Per our parent company's directive we have had to apply
security remediations to our W2K DCs- upon applying the
remediations the NT4 server was no longer able to login to
the domain. The error message given was

"cannot log you in because the computer account in its
primary domain is missing, or your password is incorrect."

We have attempted to delete and re-add the system to the
domain; we have removed the prohibition on anonymous
access to a null session... still makes no difference.

Will someone please shed some light on what is going on?

TIA-

I would guess it is probably a security option causing the problem. You may want to
run the Security Configuration and Analysis mmc snapin tool against the setup
security.inf template to see what security options may need to be changed. Since you
already changed the additional restrictions for anonymous connections, other suspects
would be server require policy for digitally sign communications, secure channel, and
require W2K or later session key or secure channel. -- Steve
