Can't Log In to Windows after adding Laptop to a Workgroup

I added a work laptop to a home workgroup. Before this I was logging onto my computer under a domain called company.com, but now this option is no longer available and I can't log in. My best guess is that the domain has now been set to this workgroup and so my company.com username and password is not valid for this workgroup. Therefore I can't log onto Windows. But Windows never prompted me for a username and password for this user on the workgroup, so I don't know what is a valid username and password.

Here's what I did:

On the Desktop Double Click “My Network Placesâ€
On the left side of the Window Click “Network and Dial Up Connectionsâ€
On the left side of the Window Click “Network Identificationâ€

(Now Here I should have clicked “Network ID†to use the Wizard.)
Instead Click “Propertiesâ€
Under Member Of Select “Workgroup†and enter MSHOME.

Does anyone know hot to re-set the domain back to company.com WITHOUT being able to log into Windows?

You will have to ask your network administrator at work
to re-register your machine on the domain, and to give
you a local account/password. Until he does, you're
locked out.
