After changing my PC to log into a workgroup instead of a
domain and then rebooting, it can't log in anymore with
all the known accounts that I've ever used.

What should I do?

Disjoining the domain destroyed the client/ domain trust. You'll need to
physically reconnect to the domain and rejoin it to the domain. You can
logon locally with any valid local account. The cached domain account
information is no longer available. Ask the systems administrator to rejoin
the pc back to the domain.

I have done something similar by changing the workgroup
(we don't have a domain and the user brought the laptop
from a different company where it was on their domain).
Is there no fix apart from joining back on their domain?
Reinstall Windows?
I'm trying to get the files off the laptop first!
