I'm getting a dialog box when I open My computer, any folder, control panel,
or printers and faxes. "can't load library in memory". If I click OK. the
box goes away and the folder opens. Clean install of xp sp2 and windows
updates. thanks in advance for any help.

Is the filename mentioned? Is "in memory" actually in the error
message? I did a Google Groups search and there was no mention of that
specific error message.

To solve this problem
START - SEARCH - All Files and Folders - (all or part of file name)
"ipv6mon"

You will get a file named "ipv6mon.dll" - Location "C:\WINDOWS
\system32\ipv6mon.dll"

rename it e.g. "ipv6mon.dll.old"

Files named "ipv6mon.dll.mui" are fine leave them as they are.

But rename file "ipv6monl.dll" and "ipv6mons.dll" in a similar manner
to above if they are present

I also renamed file "IPV6MON" but am not sure that this was necessary.

Having done this restart and problem should be solved.

On my system a new file "ipv6mon.dll" appeared to replace the one I
had renamed but this has not caused a problem, if it begins to I will
just rename again.

Not sure why this works but it does, might be an idea to:

rename one file, restart, check whether problem solved, if not repeat,
this might isolate the file that actually causes problem

Go to Command Prompt
type "ipv6.exe"
use usage prompts to remove, restore, reset your "ipv6.dll file" in
\windows\system32
