Can't Join Domain

I am facing a really funny problem with Windows 2000
domain with one windows 2000 Domain Controller with
Service Pack 4.0. When I am trying to join any of the
machine to the domain it asks for the username and
password for administrative privialge but when I am
giving administrator which is a member of Domain Admins
group username and password it creates the computer
account for that computer but immediately disables that
account, and because of that I am not able to join any
computer to the domain. When I enables the account and
when I tries to again join the same machine it again
disables the computer account. Can any one give me a
solutions on this.

Replies are highly appreciated.

Thank you very much.

Well I've not seen this behaviour before, but have you tried deleting the
account instead of (re)enabling it?

Delete the account from AD, and then try joining the domain. If that fails,
you might consider deleting the account again, renaming the PC, joining the
PC to the domain and, if necessary, renaming the machine back.
