I have a Dell XPS system, with Intel 82801FR SATA RAID.

When I try to upgrade that system to Vista, setup tells me I need newer
drivers, and refused to continue.

I already have the latest Intel drivers from the web site that I could find.

Any idea how to get around this problem?

Since this is an upgrade, they have to be XP compatible drivers.

Setup gives you no option to supply Vista native drivers to the install
process.

You might have to do a clean install. You the get the option to install
drivers right before you choose the partition.

From what I've read, people have successfully used these same drivers during
a clean install.
If that's so, why won't upgrade allow me to proceed?
