Can't install updates

Help..I am going crazy. I am trying to install 813951.
This require 810847. I tried to install 810847 but I am
told that this install requires IE SP1. I have SP1
installed already. I even reinstalled it. Rebooted. Is
there something in the registry I need to play with?

Thanks for the link. I didn't see anythingon that page
that addresses my issue. The only error message I get is
that "This install requires IE SP1", which I have
installed. Any idea which item would be my best choice?

810847 is an extremely old update. Chances are, you have a higher version
of mshtml.dll than what was shipped with that update. Hence the reason it's
telling you to install ie6sp1 (it thinks you have something higher
installed). I have some questions for you. Have you been staying up to
date with hotfixes? Open IE and choose Help --> About and tell me what
updates are installed. Are you specifically trying to fix the issue that
update q813951 is addressing (cannot access MSN account...). One more
thing. Tell me what version of urlmon.dll you have on your system. You can
find out by going to you %windir%\system32 directory, right clicking the
file and choosing Properties.

are experiencing the MSN connection issue then try this (provided this
update isn't already installed):
