Can't install SP2, error: 0xd0000005

Windows update seems to download the SP2, but when it trys to install I
receive a update.exe error message saying that an address could not bee
writen. At windosupdate.log I see code 0xd0000005.

don't have an ready fix for you but
what if you download again, save, cold start the PC and try install again?
that may solve corrupted download problem and possibly some application
interference run before the SP2.

I don't download sp2, I ordered the CD long time ago and is really handy
that way. may be you can borrow one and try instead of download. This will
definitely narrow down some possibilities
