can't install programs

I'm trying to install a program and the web site said it's my computer not
their software. The problem is I can install it but when I click on the icon
on the desktop it runs the windows is configuring box everytime I click on
it. The programs logo comes up but that's as far as it goes. I click on
task manager and the IDriver is there and msiexec.exe. Sometimes the msiexec
is listed there 2-3 times. Does this mean there is something wrong with the
installshield or something?

I had this program working before I got my new hard drive. Also sometimes
it will say there is another installation in progress I must wait until that
completes.

If it's listed in Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, uninstall it from
there and reboot if required and perform below.
Otherwise reboot to make sure any files in Temp that need to can finish
their task.
Open Explorer or MyComputer.
Expand the tree to:
C:\Documents and Settings\Your user name\Local Settings\Temp
Click once in the right Pane for the Temp folder.
Press Ctrl+A to select all.
Press Delete.
Collapse back to C:
Expand to C:\Windows\Prefetch
Click once in the right Pane for the Temp folder.
Press Ctrl+A to select all.
Press Delete.

Reboot and try to install your app.

No that didn't work. It still shows the please wait until windows configures
the program, then it asks for install CD, then a error in product
configuration. Startup.cfg file not found

The program is Printmaster 16 Platium. They said it's not the program
because I was able to install it on my old hard drive. I just got a new SATA
drive. I noticed that I have these installshield's 1050, 11, 8 and 9 am I
supposed to have that many versions?

I just installed printmaster 12 back and had no problems with it, it loaded
just fine

Did you mention you were installing it on a SATA drive?

See if any of these helps:
