Can't install IIS on XP Prof (SP1)

Hi. I can't believe it's this hard.

I cannot for the life of me install IIS on my laptop running XP Prof SP1. I
keep getting an error saying it can't find infocomm.dll when I clearly tell
it where to find it.

ANy ideas?

Thanks
Tony

You can try this as it might work. First download SP1 from here:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/servicepacks/sp1/sp1lang.asp

Extract the SP1 download to a folder on your root drive.

For example to: C:\XPSP1

Create a System Restore Point as you are about to modify the registry.

Go to Start->Run and type REGEDIT to open the registry editor.

Expand the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup

In the right hand pane double click "ServicePackSourcePath" key and modify

the value to c:\xpsp1

You might have to reboot.

Try Installing IIS again.

Followed the instructions to the letter. Does not work. I still cannot
install IIS.

Any other ideas?

Thanks
