Can't install fix

I have Microsoft XP, Internet Explorer Ver. 6.0.2800 W/
SP1 installed. I downloaded a file named q323759.exe to
fix a potential problem. When I try to install this file
a message pops up saying "this update requires Internet
Explorer 6.0. to be installed." Am I doing something
wrong or am I tring to install the wrong software?
 
Q323759 is the August 2002 Cumulatative Patch for Internet Explorer.
Service Pack 1, released on September 9, 2002, includes the fixes found in
Q323759. No need to install Q323759.
