Can't install Business Contact Manager

J

Jeff Alperin

I had an aborted install of Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2003
after successfully installing Office 2003 Pro on a Win XP Pro machine.
Now, when I try to reinstall Business Contact Manager, it says:

The wizard was interrupted before Business contact Manager for Outlook
2003 could be completely installed.

How can I clean up the bad partial installation, so I can do a clean
reinstall?

Thanks. --Jeff

You got further than I. After Ofc03 in XP I must "enable
file and print," but get no hint or help finding HOW? Not
one search engine directed me to such a place. Hope you
can help. Scott

The "server" it refers to is the database server. Look for and delete the
MSSQL$MicrosoftBCM folder on the machine under \program files\Miscosoft SQL
Server. Then try running setup again.

I am also encountering a similar problem on a winXP system with Oulook
2003. During setup, I get a message "Setup failed to configure the server.
Refer to the server error logs and setup error logs for more information".
Then the installation is rolled back and I get the same message "The wizard was interrupted..."

Why would there be a message "failed to configure the server"...may be
because I am connected to an NT server?
