Can't get transferred schemes to display in Appearances, Schemes

I saved my Appearances Scheme from the Registry of my Windows 98 desktop as
a reg file, moved the file to my XP laptop, merged, and the scheme have been
successfully placed in Current User \ Control Panel \ Appearances \ Schemes
in Registry Editor.

However, the schemes do not display in the Display Properties dialog box,
Appearance tab, Color scheme drop down box.

Could anyone direct me to what I"m doing wrong?

To clarify, the built in schemes display, but my customized schemes do not.
But they're all together in the Registry key, the built-in ones along with
the customized ones.
