I am trying to insert a linked table into a MS Access database.
I go to the "Insert" menu, select "Table," then chose "Link Table" and hit
"OK," next I am at the "Link" window where I click on the drop-down for
"Files of Type" and scroll to the bottom of the list and select "ODBC
Databases."
Normally, the next thing would be the ODBC Data Source Administrator would
appear and I would change to the appropriate tab and make my selection from
it.
Instead, nothing happens.....the ODBC Data Source Administrator never appears.
Other tables that were linked to ODBC databases in the past are still
functioning in Access, and I can still go to to Administrative Tools/Data
Sources (ODBC) and see the data source that I want to link to.
I have restarted the machine, done a virus scan, and run Detect and Repair
in Access to no avail.
