Can't get router to allow connections

For some reason my DLink router quit allowing me to have internet access.
When I connect my Cisco 675 DSL modem directly to my PC, using an integrated
Marvell Yukon 88E8001 PCI connector, I have no problems. As soon as I try to
put into the loop either a D-Link 614+ 802.11b or a DLink 524 802.11g
wireless router, there no internet connection. I've done everything suggested
by my DSL provider and DLink. Swapped cables, enabled / disabled Zone Alarm,
and reset both the router and modem. The only thing I have't done is
sacrifice a virgin. I noticed my connection was going to pot around Monday or
Tuesday when I was trying to configure another PC using a wireless
connection. I usually got a very good signal strength, but it was showing
only a fair to poor strength. My laptop used to connect with no problems and
then it quit being able to connect.
Any suggestions?

can you ping the router? If yes, can you ping a public IP? If yes, can you ping yahoo.com? posting the result of ipconfig /all here may help.

How to troubleshoot the Internet Access issues
You just setup a network and all networking computers can see each other. However, you have one of some following issues:

1. None of the networking computers can access the Internet.
2. Only one of two computers can access the Internet.
3. Cannot access some web sites.

The ipconfig results.
I cannot the PING the routers. I get either time outs or no packets returned.
Without the router in the loop I can ping yahoo - 4 packets sent, four
received.
It appears to be issue 3 as I get "cannot find server" error messages. The
green IE 6 SP2 progress bar takes a while to just come up, let alone get to
two green bars.

Doesn't this sound like his router is not passing ICMP packets?

I answered that question using XP Help. It actually gave a good answer for
once. But that answer begs another. Why on earth would I want to share error
and status messages over the internet to foreign networks. I just want to get
my domestic network running so I can surf and share files.
