Since I upgraded from W98se to Wxp on my gateway G6-450
computer, I get the following error message every time
(after the first time) I close Internet Explorer:

MSIMN.EXE - Application Error
The instruction at "0x77f58d2c" referenced memory
at "0x009a4a70". The memory could not be "written".
Click on OK to terminate the program.

Afterwards I installed Norton SystemWorks 2003, but the
problem still persists.

I have 256MB of memory.

I would appreciate a response to get rid of this nuisance.

MSIMN.EXE is the executable program for Outlook Express.

Do you also have it running at the same time?

Do you have all of the critical updates for Windows XP and Internet
Explorer 6 from the Windows Update site installed?

Try doing a repair of your Internet Explorer & Outlook Express as per
the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

How to Reinstall or Repair Internet Explorer and Outlook Express in
Windows XP

Good luck
