Hi -- I am new at this so please bear with me
I worked with Front Page about 1 year ago when I
Had Win 98 - and didn't have this problem -now I have XP ---
I set up a Home page and 2 others and the buttons will not switch to the
other pages --- I get a 'page cannot be displayed' window
Why am I getting this (http://leemachine/hometown1/index.htm
in my address bar ---- Am I working ONLINE ????

Can any one help?

I'm not sure what you mean by "the buttons." However, I can tell you what
the URL is in your address bar. It's a URL to your local machine named
"leemachine." It's an HTTP URL, which means that it's connecting to a web
server on "leemachine."

Hay thanks for the come back--
I guess they are called hover buttons -- they will not
switch from page to page --
I found out that my page was on line and that they work
fine there how did I get online I thought you had to pay
for that ----

you do (usually) have to pay for your site to be registered and online.
I don't think your's is..at least not from the URL you provided earlier...you're just running it from your machine.

not sure if you really mean Hover buttons or not, but if you do Hover buttons rely on JVM to work - Java Virtual Machine - and newer machines don't come with it installed you have to download it from Sun and install/run it.
