Can't get multiple browsers/pages

[Frustrated]

I recently got a new computer and am having trouble with
my Internet Explorer Browser. I usually like to have more
than one page up and running so I can surf through
different pages faster. However, after I have one up, I
go to click the internet explorer button to open a new
one, and it closes the first page I already had up. Is
there anything I can do that will alow me to have more
than one browser up at the same time? Thanks.
