can't get mean and standard deviation of a variable?

Hello,

Might anyone please kindly answer my question? Thank you very
much.

I tried to get the estimates of mean and standard deviation from
SPSS. I can get the estimates for all variables, except one
variable. Why can't I get the estimates for only this one variable?
Is there any statistic theory that suggest why I can't get the mean
and standard deviation of the one variable? for example, all values of
this variable are very similar to each other? However, even the values
of this variable are very similar to each other, I think I should
still be able to get the mean and SD. However, I failed.

Might anyone please kindly share with me your smart suggestions?

Thank you very much.

Are you sure that it is a numeric variable?
Try plotting the data or maybe a boxplot and see what happens.
