Can't find the dynamic-link library (DLL) Mso97rt.

Hi guys

I am running Windows XP Home with Microsoft Office 97.
I've never had to use the database before but a client
has provided me with a copy of their database on which to
work.

However when I try to open it I get this message:

Can't find the dynamic-link library (DLL) Mso97rt.

You can't use the /runtime command-line switch unless you
have installed Microsoft Office 97 Developer Edition
Tools.

Now I've had a look at the Microsoft Knowledge Base
Article - 167058 and it says "To use the /runtime switch
with the retail version of Microsoft Access 97, you must
install the ODE or a custom application created with the
ODE on your computer".

However I have no idea what this means. Can anyone help?

Thanks

You're welcome. I'm glad it worked.

And thank *you* for letting me know. Sometimes we wonder if our pointers ever help.

BTW, in the future, please be careful with the complements. I have a reputation around here for being surly and you're messing that
up! ;-)

Thanks for the kind words...
