Can't find Text Box listed on Documenter ???

There is a Text Box listed on Documenter (Access 2000) that I do not see
in design view. The report has been modified several times... I am
assuming it is hidden behind something.
Recommendations on how I find it?

Have you tried selecting it in the dropdown on the properties dialog, then
Format | Bring To Front ?

And continuing on the same thought:

Or changing the width/height if it's so small that it's almost invisible.

There's a white drop down box on the Menu bar. (Default position is just
under the word File). You can select it there and then alter its Properties
(especially the Height and Width) or delete it by pressing Delete on the
keyboard (but only after making it big enough to see what it contains - it
may hold a function which is used within the report)

Maybe I am misunderstanding, but I have only know that it exists by
seeing in under 'documenter' ... I have not been able to select the text
box in design mode in order to change it's properties.

Open the report in design view.
Click the Properties button so that the Properties box is open and ready.

The white drop-down box (shows the tool-tip Object) when you hover on it) is
usually just under the word File on the menu bar in the report's Design
View.
All the controls, lines, text boxes, etc in the report are listed there.
Look for the text box's name in the Object box. As soon as you click on it
there, it will be selected even if it is too small for you to see. When you
look at the Properties box you will see its name on the bar at the top.
You can then change it's height and width typing say 3cm height and width
into the Property box so you can see it. You can also check it's Control
Source to see what job it does.

Well, maybe the Documenter is lying ;-)

Perhaps there's some corruption in the report, and an apparently-deleted
textbox hasn't been deleted correctly. Have you tried Compact and Repair,
and/or any of the other usual steps (see, for example,
http://allenbrowne.com/ser-47.html) to recover from corruption?

I can't think of anything else at this stage,

I hate to be a pain, but I guess I am not finding the right thing:
'The white drop-down box (shows the tool-tip Object) when you hover
on it) is usually just under the word File on the menu bar in the
report's Design View.'
I am using Access 2000 ... what I thought was the teardrop everyone
was referring to is black and says 'view' when I hover over it? Where
am I going wrong?

Well, I'm slow .... BUT I finally found both 'the white drop down box'
and the box I was looking for!

1) I did not have the 'Formatting' turned on in my Toolbars ... ;-(
2) The invisible box had a height of .0208" (before I was able to
enlarge it.

I learned a lot in the effort ...
THANKS TO BOTH OF YOU (EVI and Rob) FOR HELPING!

Took me a while to find it too, Bob, on the first time that your very
scenario happened to me and someone on the newsgroup advised me about it.
Maybe it's because the item it contains by default, is the word Report.
