cant find one of three on network

hey people i have two desktops and laptop all networked together, two d/tops
all ok laptop will not show in network places. if i run a search for laptop
up she pops and i can work in laptop ? what have i done it was there b4 now
gone from n/work placed,

Q2 when i work from l/top to get into main comp it tells me i havent got
premmision but b4 i lost the laptop there was never a prob i could use any
of the three to comps to enter and change files etc on the network.
is it easier to wipe off network and set up again if so how do i delete the
network i have now thanks heaps

One of the most common causes of this problem would be a misconfigured or
overlooked personal firewall, or other security component. There are several
other possibilities too, and any might be the cause of your problem. Read this
