can't find marco button

Dear all,

I try to record a marco in Excel but I can't find the marco button which
shows the start/stop and reference cell slection.

Please help.

Hi Kent,

You don't mention which version of Excel you are using, but in Excel 2003
you would:
1 Start recording a mcro
2 Select Tools from the menu bar
3 Select Customize
4 Select the Toolbars tab
5 Check the Stop recording checkbox

When you want to stop recording do not press the X in the dialog box or you
will lose it again.
