Can't find C:\\windows\system32

I was attacked by some worm which has removed my task manager. I've tried to
access it through the above path, but that doesn't seem to be there, either.
Any thoughts on how I can dig this out?

In Windows Explorer, click Tools > Folder Options > View, and then
select and/or de-select the options that provide the specific view you
desire. (Hint: "Show hidden files and folders" and "Hide protected
operating system files")
