Can't figure out how to back up my computer

I need to download and install a patch. It tells me
before I do it I need to back up my computer. I found
article # 308422. And it is not like my XP apparently. I
cannot find back up in System tool from the start menu.
Can you help? Thanks Deb

If you have xp home the backup tool is not installed by default. You would
need a xp cd to install it from.

Insert Windows XP Cd, click Perform other Tasks, Browse the Cd, then
open ValueAdd\MSFT\NTBackup and double click NTBackup.msi to install
it.
