Can't enable Active-X components

Valerie

I can't download my mcafee updates. I've done everything
suggested to enable active-X but it won't work and I keep
getting the message telling me to enable. Would
appreciate any help you can give me

Dear Valerie,

I too have been unable to update because of the inability to get past
the Enable Active X screen. What is worse is that McAfee has not
gotten back with me after a month of waiting for their escallation
team. I've been to their free chat techs ten separate times
(countless hours waiting in queue and gettin up in the wee hours to
connect quicker than the daytime queue waits of four to five hours),
and I have been told that someone would get back with me soon. It's
been over a month, and no one has e-mailed or called. I keep
complaining to the chat techs, but they keep saying, "Someone will get
back to you soon."

Could it be that McAfee has found a way to double their profits by
gumming up people's updates, by frustrating the bejabbers out of
customers and forcing you to call their $2.95/minute or their $39.95
an event (48 hour limit on one event) tech support?

Is McAfee's customer service really this bad?

Disable the ActiveX part of McAfee's Internet Filter.
