Can't download!

I'm unable to download most documents from the internet.

When I click on a link to download something, the dialogue
box asking to open or save to disc does not appear.

Instead, another window opens and crashes (a box with an x
appears in the upper left hand corner).

Does anyone know how to fix this? I can't figure out
what's wrong.

i'm having the exact same problem. I'm glad it's not just
me. I couldn't even download the service pack without
trying it from different sites. It's very frustrating.
It would be great if anyone out there can make a
suggestion for us!!!
