cant download programs?

ive been having a problem with an error message that says this is not a valid
win32 application. i tried all of the suggestions you guys gave me and none
of them worked. when i downloaded the programs that im trying to install, the
download box where it shows the progress of the dowload stops moving about 30
seconds in. the green bar stops moving but eventually the download complete
box pops up. could it be that my computer is not downloading these programs
properly?
