Can't dismiss calendar reminders

I am running Outlook 2003 and recently migrated to a new
corporate Exchange Server. Whenever I log on to Outlook
I get a list of old calendar reminders that I can not
dismiss. In trying to dismiss any of them I get the
message "Can not turn off the reminder. You may get
reminded again. Could not complete the operation. One
or more parameter values are not valid." Anyone have any
idea how to fix this?

Try closing outlook and going to the run line and typing:
outlook.exe /cleanreminders

I have the same issue with a reminder that won't go away. I tried the /cleanreminders, but it didn't work. Is there a file where they're kept that can be deleted?

The "hidden messages" aren't really hidden, they are just mirrors of the
original items with reminders. What is hidden is the Reminders folder, which
is a MAPI search folder that shows all items with reminders set that live in
the default Inbox, Calendar, Tasks and Contacts folders.

The items in Reminders aren't hidden and aren't copies of the original
items, they are the original items. That's how MAPI search folders work. The
only difference in looking at the items in the 4 default folders and in the
Reminders folder is you can see them all in one place in the Reminders
folder.

OutlookSpy (www.dimastr.com) is a tool that can be used to easily view the
hidden Reminders folder and items that are in that folder.

Reminders are kept in hidden messages in the mailbox. If you are connected
to an Exchange server, then they are kept on the mailbox in the Exchange
server. However, if you having email delivered locally to a pst, then the
hidden message will be in the pst file. It is a little bit of a pain to view
those hidden messages directly.

I too tried running Outlook with the /cleanreminders
switch and it failed to dismiss the reminders. The error
message I receive says "Can not turn off the reminder.
You may be reminded again. Could not complete the
operation. One or more parameter values are not valid."
Anyone else have any suggestions?

The "outlook spy" worked for me. I spent a while poking around, but finally found a list of all my appointments. I found the appointment that was generating the reminder, even though it was not showing up in the normal calendar view. Once I deleted it, the reminder no longer appeared. I still have an appointment that won't synchronize with my Pocket PC, which may be a result of the prior problem with the reminder.
