Can't delete user account

I'm trying to delete an old user account but when I try
the User Accounts window gives me a 'not reponding'
message. any reason why this should be happening? I've
had no problem deleting accounts in the past

Hi,
goto the command prompt and type in:-

net user X /delete

[X=the name of the account].

or,you may try to disable that account,it will have the same effect.
