can't delete messages

Can't seem to delete some old messages (typically older
ones), 'The messaging interface has returned an unknown
error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook.' Have
tried restarting online/offline, etc. Any ideas
appreciated, as they are just taking up space. Thanks, JC

I just started having the same problem. I saw another
post that suggested selecting the file(s) then holding
down "shift-delete" at the same time. It gives you a
warning that the file will be permanently deleted, but it
works. I wonder if there's a way to "make it like it
was."

Most of the time this means that you'll fix it by clearing your Deleted
Items folder.
