Can't delete Files ready to be written to CD in XP

P

Peter Topping

I placed some files in the CD Writer Drive window and
used the Write to CD Wizard to Burn a disk. I renamed the
files in the root directory before doing this and found
that I could not delete the temporary files. I have tried
to delete them from the C:\Documents and Settings\Peter
Topping\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\CD
Burning Folder but It won;t let me.There is an error
message but it is too fast to read before it disapears.

Can anyone help please

Hi Peter,

Suggestions:

If you are using TweakUI, go to My Computer/Special Folders see what is set
for CD Burning. Make sure it is set to a folder and not a drive.

Also, when the balloon appears: There are two commands to the left of the
displayed files. One is Copy to CD and the other is Delete Temporary Files.

If you click Delete Temporary Files, the files listed in the box will
disappear. This will not erase the files from your hard drive, it simply
removes them from being copied to the CD.
