can't delete file sharing violation

I have two folders containing pictures. Can not delete. I
get the message "sharing violation the source directory
or destination file may be in use."
What could I do?

What could I do?

Some program has a lock on one of the files or directories. If you can
reboot the system then you can probably delete the files. If you can't
reboot then you can use a tool to look at file handles. You can find one
at www.sysinternals.com.
