Can't delete contact

Hi all.
I'm using Windows Messenger 5.0.0381, and I'm unable to delete some contacts
from my list.
Every time I try to do this, I receive an error stating:

"<contact name> could not be deleted. Please try again later."

After I click OK, Windows Messenger disconnects.
There are only one contact with this problem, and the most curious is that
this contact showed up WITHOUT the usual window asking me to allow him.
Tried everything, except export the contact list and then reinstall
Messenger.
Any hint?

I have the same problem with the same error message. I
now have 8 contacts I cannot delete or block. Every time
I log in, I get windows asking me to allow them (all 7).

?? any help for this ?
