Sorry for a question that has probably been answered. I've searched, but
suspect I'm using the wrong key words. Anyway, I am attempting to set folder
types in Windows Explorer to Music so my Zune software will find the folders.
When I go to the customize tab of the folder properties window I can select
the proper type and apply it, but once I leave properties, the types reverts
to general documents. My files are either .wma or .wmv plus album art. All
of it initially went through WMP.

Thanks

You cannot Customize system folders such as 'My Music' or 'My Pictures'. Are you trying to
modify a normal folder? If so maybe something here will help:

Common Tasks Don’t Match Folder Type

You could also open 'Folder Options' and under the 'Views' tab try 'Reset All Views' then
try to customize again.

There are some more complex tasks, but try these steps first.

I gave both options a try. I cannot delete the key shellnoroam/bagmru.
RegEdit will not allow deletion of the Default value and also errors if I
try to remove bagmru itself. So, no luck so far. What's the next step?

You cannot delete the key because you don't have permission.

First try to delete the key with this command:
Open a run box, type cmd click OK.
REG DELETE HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam

Right-click the 'ShellNoRoam' key, select "Permissions..." and give yourself "Full
Control", [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam]

Now you should be able to delete it.
