Hi All,
I have a "Shared Documents" folder located on my computer at "C:\Documents
and Settings\All Users\Documents".
When others access this folder they can see the contents of this folder and
its subfolders.
However, users/visitors to this folder can't copy (i.e. copy to their own
computers) all of the files...just some of them.
The files that can't be copied give an error message that says ...
Error Copying File or Folder
Cannot copy [Filename]: Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or
write protected and that the file is not currently in use.
As far as I can tell neither computers hard disks are full
I'm not exactly sure how to tell about write protection (but when I
investigate the file properties of the files that generate the error message
I noticed that the "Read Only" & "Hidden" attribute boxes
are NOT checked.)
Also, I don't have the files open, so I don't think they are in use.
It happens to be that the files that can be accessed by others are .ppt
files and the files that can't be copy & pasted (transferred) are .zip &
..mov files.
Any ideas?
Bye & thanks,
JV
