Here is the problem:
An app installs it's mdb file into it's program files directory.
The app runs normally, database works.
Then copy another mdb file from an instance of an install on another vista
machine, overwriting the one in the current program files directory. Ordinarily
this is a good (working) procedure on XP.
The new file copied in doesn't show up in the program. The original file still
appears to be the current file. But this file was overwritten.
This is an impossible scenario I know, but the customer reports this.
What is your experience with copying mdb files on vista?
I know program files is a deprecated location on vista for data, but this is a
legacy application.
