Can't connect to local printer

Office = XP Pro
Home (Remote) XP Pro, running on a new Dell 4600
Home Printer is Canon MP730

Have checked "Local" resources on Connection setup
Have run wizard to "share" new printer
Can print locally fine, just can't print from Office
desktop to local printer.

Any suggestions?

Do you have to have the printer drivers installed on both
the local and the remote workstations?
