can't connect to internet

B

Bill H.

Have win2k laptop with wireless to home network.

Everything was fine, then something happened when looking at a Verizon DSL
install cd.

Now, the tcp/ip network with my existing dsl does not work. The wireless
card/router, etc. are fine because I have on my network a Novell server
running ipx/spx, and I can connect to the Novell server just fine.

Also, DUN with a modem on the laptop connects and talks to the internet just
fine.

How can I get back the tcp/ip on the wireless?? I tried removing the tcp
protocol and reinstalling, and that did not help. The router is doing DCHP,
but somehow all I get on the laptop is the autoconfigure. When I try to set
up a static IP on the laptop (and I may not be doing it exactly right), I
still cannot connect to internet via the network.

Thanks for any help.

static or dynamic ip? what ip are you getting? running any firewalls? try resetting your dhcp, did the cd install anything, if so uninstall it
