Can't connect to DHCP server after XP Pro upgrade

I am in the process of setting up a server in my office to act as a file
server/print server. Everything is working great and I have a Windows 2000
pro box connecting no problem via wireless nic.

I have an SMC router which has the SBS 2003 server attached to it. I
disabled DHCP on the router and installed it on the server. I read this was
the proper thing to do.

I had to upgrade my XP Home to Pro because I couldn't connect to the server
as a client. Now I can connect to the server if I use a cable between the
router and the xp pro machine. Everything works great.

The problem is I cannot connect to the server or router via the wireless
card, which is the same nic as the win2k machine. I upgraded the firmware on
the card, physically uninstalled/reinstalled and even redid the machine (a
result of unrelated stupid mistake), but it cannot find the new DHCP server.

I am a little lost at this point, but I seem to have read a lot of posts
about people upgrading to xppro and having networking issues?

Thanks
Kevin

Yep!

Did you try to get the latest XP drivers for your wireless card from the
mfr's website, and load them in device manager? Are you using WEP? Are you
sure you've entered the key correctly, if so?

What do you see in device manager? Also, event logs?
