Hi all,

When I click on an open Word doc to move the cursor from one sentence to
another, nothing happpens. I have to scroll with the arrow keys to move
around the document. The mouse will click on the tool bars, but not the
document itelf. The scroll/slider on the right hand side of the document is
also not clickable.

I am using Word 2007 and vista business. Any suggestions?

Even when i remove and reinstall the software still doesnt change the issue.

Hi Shane,

There are several known causes for this that include:

- An outdated mouse or display driver.
- Using a 'Universal scroll' setting in the Mouse control panel
- Conflicting 3rd party add-ins, such as LaserFiche
- Corrupted registry key in Word.

If you hold the control key and start Word 2007 then start a new document does the mouse then work?
