I just noticed a Problem with my Windows XP SP2 loaded on my Dell
Inspiron 600m and the date/time properties window. the AM and PM are
both showing and I can not select PM only AM. I can go to a CMD window
and type time and enter a PM time and it changes. the window bulges
down and shows both the AM and PM options, using the arrows moves back
and forth between the two, but only AM is selected. Any help would be
appreciated.

Thanks

Double-click the clock on the taskbar, "Internet Time" tab, "Update Now" button.

The default automatic time interval is every 7 days (168 hours). Change that to every 12 or 24
hours with the below link:

Adjust the Internet Time Update Interval

A good time server is: tick.usno.navy.mil

I already use an internet time updater, I want to find out what is
corrupt in my OS. I do not want to reload but will if I can't get this
resolved.

Go to Control panel, Regional and Language options, Regional Options,
Customize, Time, And then click the pull down for PM and set it for PM.

That was already set. When I am in the date and time properties
window, I see both AM and PM showing with the windows dipping down to
show both AM and PM, but if I select PM, It switches to AM.

Rich

Yes. I guess I will have to reload my OS. It is not that it is not
there, but when you
highlight PM and select nothing happens. The selection moves up and
down, but the
main window is stuck at AM.

Rich

That is a good work around, but I still want to find
out what is wrong with my gui. Thanks for your
advice.

Rich

If that works, you can later try changing it back to AM/PM and see if
that gets it to reset/work.

I had tried that about a week ago. The AM/PM part of the window is
corrupted and will not work.

Thanks again
