Hi All,
My mother's machine, XP Home SP2, updates ok, ZA, EZ AV, 1G Celeron
eMachine (POS).
Changed from dial up to SBCYahoo! DSL today and now her homepage is the
SBCYahoo/dsl homepage. I did not load any of their software, did a manual
registration. The problem is the homepage option (Tools, Internet Options,
Homepage) is set to the SBC page, the URL is greyed out along with the three
buttons below. Have searched the Reg to no avail. Anybody have a solution?
Heirloom, old and mine works.....

Appears to be just what I need, I will give it a go shortly and report the
results. Thank you so much for the response.
Heirloom, old and gonna stomp
through the Reg

Hello,

The following short link is to an archive on an identical problem as yours.
See Sandi H's suggestions.

Just FYI..........before I made the registry changes, I dl'd Spyware Blaster
and it has a feature for IE to change/protect the homepage from hijackings.
With a simple click on the 'allow homepage to be changed' feature, the
buttons were restored....it made the reg changes for me, I checked. BTW,
this is a terrific little free app, does a good job and uses 0 resources
since it does its' job by setting kill bits in the reg.

Use FireFox, SBC cannot modify it's registry, since it is not registry
based.
