Can't change from cyrillic language script...

For a few days ago I noticed that my browser wasn't able to view Norwegian
letters, and I then tried to change the language script in the settings for
IE. I was then, and still, not able to change from cyrillic to latin language
script.
What could be the reason for this?
Anyone who has the same problem? Or maybe an solution...
