Can't change dir name

Under an admin account, I can't change a directory name.

I have full control. ??

Not enough information.

Where is the directory? What name? How are you trying to do it? What
error messages do you see? Etc.

You can't change the name of a folder if a File Handle of a file in said

folder or below or sub-folder is held open by the OS.

I was using the same name of another directory to change another directory.

Yes, you can't create a folder or rename a folder if that name already
exists in that location.

In other words, you can't make two folders in the same location have the
same name. (Nor - I just checked - can you make a folder of the same
name as a _file_ already there.)

You _can_, of course, make a folder (or, I guess, file) _inside_ another
of the same name.
