Can't burn CD's - help!

I am trying to burn one music file onto a CD-R, using Windows Media.

Although it is a new disk, it says 'Will not fit' and under properties for
the CD, it says Free Space: 0 MB
Used Space: 0 MB

what am I doing wrong?
