Cant boot in safe mode

I cannot boot in safe mode. I get a BSoD with the error message : IRQL less
or not equal. I need to get to safe mode so I can do a proper defrag.
Any help wil be appreciated. Many thanks.

We don't have enough information to give you focused help. The First
Question Of Troubleshooting: what changed between the time things worked
and the time they didn't?

In the meantime, do you have an older version of Nero's InCD installed?
Computers with this program installed and Service Pack 2 had the problem of
not being able to go into Safe Mode. The fix was to either uninstall InCD
if you don't use it or to update it from Nero's site.
