Can't add contacts to group list

I can not add contacts to my group list. When I try to save the inputs I get
the following message, "Valid name has letters & numbers only". I'm using
"Microsoft Office Outlook/Web Mail".
 
You would get better luck by asking in the Outlook newsgroup, this one is for
Word.
